Wedding Planning Update

1

It’s been a while (I think) since I’ve talked about wedding stuff on here, and I honestly couldn’t think of anything else to write about today so here we go! (Transparency rules, right guys?)

I believe the last thing I definitively wrote about was picking our venue. So, we have that, and besides having a really good idea of the wedding photographer I want to have, the rest of the planning I’ve been doing is in the category of the general “feel” and aesthetics of the wedding.

I can’t remember exactly how much I’ve talked about the style I’m going for on here, but regardless, we’d all love to hear about it today anyway, riiiiiight? đŸ˜‰ So I admit I feel sort of like I’m spilling secrets by talking about any wedding stuff here, but I’m just gonna roll with it and be kinda vague. Baby steps.

If you take one look at my finely pruned “Our Wedding” Pinterest board, I think it’s pretty easy to get an idea about my wedding style. I love minimal color and lots of neutrals, tons of white, touches of gold and the palest blush pink, and lots of pretty eucalyptus greenery. I want it to feel cozy, romantic, but still really classic and elegant. I hope to achieve this with lots of candles and soft white flowers.

I’ll be using white table cloths, renting white chairs, and the walls are a white brick. The venue also has tons of big windows, so I’m excited for the lightness and brightness of the space! (If you’ve seen my bedroom, you pretty much know that white’s my kinda “color”.) I plan on making several pretty signs and all the table numbers with fancy hand-lettering, framed with black, blush, or gold.

Another aspect of the wedding I’ve been thinking about is hair and makeup. I go back and forth between hair up and down, but right now I’m leaning toward down in big vintage-y waves. For makeup, I want glowy skin and big lashes–those are the two must-haves!

I think I pretty well summed up the “looks” part of our wedding, at least what I’m thinking right now. I totally could change my mind about some details, but I have always had this kind of general style, so I don’t see that changing much. I won’t lie, the day-dreaming about pretty flowers and hair is so much more fun than making big, concrete, costly decisions. So, for now, that’s what I’m doing! Can you blame me?

I think we can all agree that I’m a little (or a lot) wedding-obsessed. I know I can’t be the only one! Do you love wedding stuff? I love talking to other people about their dream weddings. It’s so much fun!
