Happy Friday! I’m looking forward to a day with few plans. On the agenda: maybe re-visiting a wedding dress store to try on a dress I like, and tidying up my apartment. Then tonight my parents will be in town to visit! I’m looking forward to seeing them again (even though it’s only been a few days).
Yesterday I completed a 45-minute treadmill workout and thought I’d share it with you. Keep in mind I’m not a personal trainer or anything, this is just something to give you an idea of what some of my cardio workouts look like. I love changing the speed and incline frequently to prevent boredom! The time actually goes by pretty fast when there is a lot of variety in the activity. Let me know if you try it, and tell me what you think!
Now, onto the Friday Favorites!
This week I was loving…
I hope you have a relaxing or exciting weekend ahead of you. Jake has his spring break next week and is going on a trip with some friends, so I’ll both miss him and be a little jealous! Be sure to check out our YouTube channel for a new vlog soon.
Do you have fun weekend plans? Or will you be spending time at home? Do you like or loathe the treadmill?
Good morning! Yesterday was my birthday! I thought it’d be fun to do a little recap of my day yesterday via photos:
Birthday outfit of choice: (Top: TJ Maxx, Jeans: American Eagle (old), Sandals: borrowed from sister)
This might be a little out of season, but paired with a cardigan, I felt fine in the early-spring weather.
Jake surprised me with my very own birthday cupcake from a cute cupcake shop downtown. It was oreo flavored and so cute and yummy! Cassidy also baked me my favorite kind of cake (funfetti) and decorated it! After dinner I had a few bites of both and they were both delicious!
For dinner we (Jake, me, Cassidy, and her boyfriend Caleb) went to one of my favorite Italian restaurants, Bambinos! It is local to Springfield and is sooooo good. Jake and I went there for the past two valentine’s days. It’s one of our favorites for sure! I got the dish called “The Bambino” but with tomato cream sauce instead of meat sauce. It was HUGE and very yummy. Look at the fork on the right side of the picture for size reference. And would you believe that huge bowl was only $8.99?! Good deals AND delicious food? Win-win in my book.
Sampling a drink at Tropical Liqueurs, looking like a goober

Overall it was a great birthday spent with people I love. I am so excited to see where my 21st year takes me! If it’s as good as 20 was, I know I’m in for a treat.
Do you remember your 21st birthday? How did you celebrate your last birthday? I’m excited for Jake’s birthday that’s coming up next month! (He’ll be 22! Cue Taylor Swift song.)
