Are you having a good week? I sure hope so!
Jake and I headed home today to make a super fun surprise purchase and I’m giddy with excitement! Love making grown-up decisions with that guy.
I’m also drawing near to the LAST WEEK of my winter break. And for once in my life, it’s actually felt really long. (In a good way, duh.) I feel like breaks always fly by and I’m chasing after the next break, but I feel so refreshingly rested right now. I’ll let you know if I still feel so content when I’m deep in clinic and class work. 😉
I’m back today to share some things I’ve loved this week, and I definitely have some fun goodies to tell you about. So keep reading below to hear all about them!
1 | Mini Boxwood Wreath Garland
I was inspired by a blog post from Landeelu in which she made a cute mini wreath garland using tiny greenery garland from the Target dollar spot (where else?) as a Christmas decoration. I thought that it could make a cute wall decoration year-round, and am quite pleased with how it turned out! If you can still get your hands on some, you should make a mini wreath garland too! (Or you could totes use a different wired greenery garland!) The general idea is to make little circles (I wrapped it around twice to make it a little thicker), tie with string, and then tie the wreaths onto one long string to make it a garland.
2 | Digital Screen Protection Glasses
Okay, I only feel sliiiightly goofy about this one. I have 20/20 vision so have obviously never worn glasses, but have ALWAYS wanted to. Based on the early 2000s trend of fake glasses from Claires (c’mon, I know you know what I’m talking about), I’m not the only one. So when I heard about something called digital screen protection glasses, I decided to jump on board and try them out! I look at screens a whole lot more than I should, so why not try them out? While I don’t think my sleep is too disturbed, I have noticed eye strain after a long day at school/staring at a treatment report on the screen for 29201948 minutes. I ordered a pair from EyeBuyDirect.com (the Saint Lou in tortoise) and recently received them. So far, I really like them! I’m wearing them now and my eyes feel…good? Healthy? I’ll make sure to update you when I have worn them a little longer.
3 | Swell Bottle
One of my new year resolutions is to drink at least 4 glasses of water a day, because I typically drink like maybe one. My sister gifted me a swell water bottle for Christmas and it has seriously been motivating me to drink more water! I mean, I get to look like a cool girl and be do something good for my health. Yay! (P.S. a mini favorite is lemon water, because it’s a major game changer in the water-drinking-game.)
4 | Fresh Eucalyptus
Can you tell by this post I like greenery just a little bit? I have two big bunches of eucalyptus in my room currently and I’m in love. Unfortunately, I go them from Trader Joes in St. Louis, and have no idea where to find the stuff here in Springfield. If you are a Springfieldian and know where to buy fresh eucalyptus, please let me know! I’d be your bestie! Thankfully the stuff lasts like forever, and I’m hoping I can just keep it dried once it starts to die. It’s just so pretty!
Have a wonderful weekend!
