I’m so excited for this weekend!
Today is my puppy nephew’s (yes I went there) 3rd birthday!! AND I get to see him tonight! (I may have bought him some new toys and a cookie treat to celebrate…) My sister is on her way to Springfield for the weekend and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
Tomorrow morning we will go watch Jake run at his cross country race, and then we will probably do some running around town, shopping around at some of our favorite stores (my fave past-time).
This week I pretended to be a fashion blogger and had quite the photoshoot. Keep reading to laugh with/at me… 😉
Summer-Fall Transition Outfit
I picked up this shirt from the sale rack at a local boutique, Mark Ashton, which has the
most expensive cutest stuff. I’m sort of obsessed with the army green color for fall, so I just couldn’t resist snagging this one. I paired it with a pair of black skinnies and camel booties and thought it was such a cute, simple outfit! (And so comfy, which is a must in my book.) It’s the perfect outfit to transition into fall so you don’t sweat your booty off while the temps are still warm. Also, I had to include some goofy pictures, because I think the world would be a better place if we could all just laugh at ourselves and be unapologetically silly. But that’s a soap-box speech for another day…
My favorite Starbucks order at the moment
I’m a big iced coffee fan, and you know I had to jump on the pumpkin-flavored-drink train. A regular PSL is a little too much sweetness for me, so I ask for an iced coffee with just one pump of pumpkin spice. (Well, my real, kind-of-ridiculous, order is a tall iced coffee with extra ice to a grande with skim milk and 1 pump of pumpkin spice with no classic syrup. I triple-dog-dare you to remember that so you can order one on your visit.)
First Fall Festival of the Season
Last weekend I attended my first fall festival of the season! It was a pretty small one, but sill was fun to walk around and check out the booths. The weather was SO nice too. (Recognize my outfit? 😉 ) Wasn’t this old truck fall set up the perfect photo backdrop?! (Thanks to Cierra for the idea!) I can’t wait to visit more fall festivals as we get deeper into the season.
Cute pic, right? This morning my professor brought Einstein bagels for the class to enjoy during a tough/long lecture! It definitely brightened my day and mood!
I hope you had a great week! I had a busy week with a test and a lot of clinic work, but the time in grad school is flying by so far! I’ve already completed 4 weeks of class! If the rest of my time goes by this quickly, it’ll be over before I know it.
Have a fun weekend!
