I can’t believe my last week of classes is coming up! This class has flown by. I will be spending my weekend relaxing, studying for my upcoming final, and maybe working on some wedding projects.
Also, in case you were curious, I still love the wedding dress I chose! (This is a big deal for me… I’m just about the most indecisive person I know) In case you missed my post where I talked about choosing my dress and some tips, you can read that here.
Now, I’ll let you know some things I’ve been loving this week…
Peppermint Essential Oil for Studying
I love diffusing essential oils in my house. My usual go-to is either lavender or eucalyptus oil, but I tried diffusing peppermint this past weekend while studying for a test and found it to be very nice. It is a little “sharper” and it had a focusing effect on me. Plus it just smells nice. You can read this article which gives 25 uses for peppermint oil to learn more.
I went to a concert with my mom last winter where she was the opener, and loved her music. I recently re-discovered it on Spotify and have been loving listening to her stuff. She sings Christian music and her voice is really unique and pretty. Check her out if you haven’t!
Free Tea Day at McAlister’s
This is a day I would never miss. McAlister’s has the BEST iced tea, so a big ole cup of it for free is CERTAINLY a favorite.
$1 Andy’s Sundae
The local minor league baseball team, the Springfield Cardinals, have some really good promos during certain innings. One of those happens to be a $1 Andy’s sundae (which is usually like $482), so Jake and I were able to treat ourselves to sundaes this week! I’m an ice cream “purist”, so I like when there aren’t a bunch of competing flavors. I would highly recommend a vanilla sundae with cheesecake pieces. SO. GOOD. Jake chose peanut butter and banana, which was apparently good too.
Make sure to go to a Springfield Cardinals game if you’re ever in town! Tickets are super cheap, it’s always a fun time, and you might even luck out with a good deal. (Also I find it funny that the longest description this week is for ice cream. LOL)
I hope you have a restful, fun, loved-ones-filled weekend. I’m gonna go bake some goodies because, weekend.
