I have ONE more week of classes left. YAY! Today has been a pretty good day. I got to see Jake, finished up a bunch of homework, relaxed, went to the gym, and went shopping with Cierra. While at the gym I was inspired to challenge you to try my current favorite (that’s a questionable word to use to describe exercise LOL) form of cardio: the stair master. Yep, I’m referring to the scary set of stairs that loom over the other cardio machines and make you feel like you might fall off at any moment.
I’m positive I did not invent the stair master challenge. I wouldn’t even really call it a “challenge”, I just set a goal and that helps me stay motivated. So, lately I have been “climbing” (mastering???) 50 floors, while trying to improve the time it takes me. This is doable for a beginner, but is certainly a challenge! I’m excited to keep working on it and plan to increase my floors goal slowly. Also, I find myself turning the speed up to get it over with faster, which is a win-win because it makes for more intense exercise while also finishing my 50 floors a little faster. If you happen to try out my little “challenge”, let me know! I’d love to
complain chat about it with you.
- Having an official wedding date: We booked our venue this past week and I am SO excited!! Our date was “official” before but now it’s like “official-official”, if you know what I mean. I seriously can’t wait! (below is my feelings about this in gif form)
- Amy’s Bowls Broccoli & Cheddar Bake: This is a long time favorite frozen meal of mine. I picked one up this week for a quick meal and it just never disappoints. It’s probably not the healthiest thing in the world, but it’s made with organic ingredients that I trust and doesn’t upset my stomach. It’s also just really tasty!
- Hart of Dixie: I can’t remember if I wrote about this show in another F.F., but I am obsessed with Hart of Dixie. I’m currently re-watching it and it is just as good, if not better, the second time around. It is lighthearted, dramatic, funny… I could go on and on. Just watch it and you’ll understand! Also, I just wanna be a southern belle. ( Oh, and Lemon Breeland is totally my spirit animal.)
- Jake’s Birthday: Jake turned 22 yesterday! We celebrated with a bunch of friend by going to a restaurant called Black Sheep in Springfield, MO (where we live) that specializes in fancy-schmancy burgers and boozy milkshakes. Then, we walked around downtown, took selfies in the Hotel Vandivort bathrooms (they have weirdly amazing lighting), and ended our night with some Hurts Donuts. I think he had a really great birthday, and I had a blast celebrating with him!
I hope you have a good weekend! So far I don’t have much planned, which is just how I like it. 😉 I think I might spend tonight looking up some recipes to make before my grocery store run tomorrow, and will most definitely be watching some Netflix movies.
Questions of the Day:
Do you use the stair master at the gym? If so, do you go for time or floors? What are you loving this week? Comment down below!
